Cat collars are inexpensive and necessary insurance against your cat getting lost, as we all know an outdoor cat can wander far away and does not always think that you, her loving owner, will be concerned if she goes missing for several days or weeks. There is the real possibility that she has found an inspecting surrogate owner who will provide food and shelter for a ‘poor stray’. However if your cat is wearing a collar with a tag and your cell number, anyone finding your errant feline will see that she has a caring owner and will be able to contact you. It is also a sad fact reported by animal shelters, that too many injured or obviously lost cats are ‘put down’ or re-homed because they cannot be returned to their owners. Even if your cat is happily living indoors, a collar with your contact number is a necessity, as there is even more danger of her getting lost if she accidentally gets out, as she will not know her way around the neighborhood. With your safety and security in mind it is always sensible to only put your cell number, not your name and address in a tag on your cat’s collar. Knowing how cats love to climb and jump safety is a very important consideration when buying your cat collar, Fortunately these days most collars are stretchy and in the ‘breakaway style, so that should she get her collar caught on a branch or other object, the collar will safely stretch or open to ensure cat’s safety. Even the most stylish cat will find the collar to compliment her looks and personality, collars can be plain and simple for the macho Tom Cat or fancy rhinestone creations for the couture loving kitty or owner!! So please, go into any pet supplies store and find the perfect collar for your purrfect cat, there are lots of different styles here at prices for every budget, but one thing they all have in common is that they are all for cats. |
